I recently read this story.
Here’s my review:
A story of true friendship.
Sometimes life blesses us with a special friend, someone who we connect with on a spiritual level. This is a heart-warming story about two such best friends. As I read this, I could almost hear Bette Midler’s ‘The Wind Beneath My Wings’, playing in the background. Gaby and Shy, come from completely different upbringings, but their friendship bridges the gap, and enables Gaby to soar far beyond the limitations her family and community place upon her. The title is cleverly conceived, and the symbolism and personalisation of the ‘cozy’ adds dimensions to this tale. I experienced a raft of emotions from laughter to sorrow. This is a story of true friendship and a worthwhile read.
What a thoughtful review. Thank you for taking the time to explore Rhani’s work and for sharing your thoughts here, Wendy!
